I upgraded the memory on this thing from 512 mb to 3Gb…very fast with this upgrade! I also upgraded the OS to Windows 7 HP when it came out in October and everything runs fine. I have heard users upgrading the CPU to the T7200 processor but wonder how much of a hassle this is since you have to take the entire computer apart to do this :-(

This virus disables task manager, and user access control - cant do regedit, nor remove “acroread .exe”…

Can’t even install HijackThis or other anti-virus…

Nice idea.. but unfortunately it doesn’t work. Windows just re-replaces your version of the files with the original XP ones.

I’m with everyone here. I bought this today and went to M$’s site to get the new drivers for windows 7 64 bit, installed everything but surprise! I have a v2.0 transceiver Windows 7 won’t recognize it as v2.0, it recognizes it as v1.0. It’s smart enough to know that it has the wrong INF file but won’t find a new v2.0 driver. I called M$ support and 12 minutes of playing in their IVR, they give me a message that they’re closed. I’ve google searched for a v2.0 driver and found nothing. I have been to a billion portions of M$’s website and found nothing. I have used logitech for years and thought I’d give M$ another go but not I remember why I went to logitech to begin with. My Logitech 3200 is Windows 7 compatible. I don’t know how M$ can’t make their own devices compatible to their own operating system? I award you no point M$ and if I could I’d kick bill gates square in the nuts for the hours that I lost on this.

Well, mainly you must check first what its gona be your final print/product, before getting a plotter, because they can difer today from the wide format(Gran Formato) type to the photograpic type; the only diference betwen this 2 its mainly the resolution, the wide format lacks of resolution at close range, perfect for panoramics (72″ or more) adversitments. the photograpic type its perfect for small ploters prints (72” or less). Well that didn’t work for me gogo, however I found a work around on another site, shutdown my wireless connection using fn/F8 key(Toshiba Laptop)others could be different key, when the connection is lost turn it back on and enable the connection. This stops it from constantly identifying. :) Not a true fix but it will do for now.

You may notice step 2 includes “Use a Legacy Network Adapter if you need network access”.

I have quite a few Ubuntu VMs running… they require the legacy adapter. Make sure you created the legacy adapter and assigned it a network to use.

(Yes, I know this comment is 8 months later, but I’m posting it in case someone else is having this problem)

Microsoft 6000 v3 is a very very bad keyboard, I tried two of these keyboards and both have the same issue. If you want to type fast, you better get a wired keyboard, since this keyboard delay so many times while you typing, that you really want to break it with the hammer. I think Microsoft is not going to fix this problem. I think it is more like hardware issue than software. My keyboard MS v3, just sitting 2 inches away from the usb transceiver and the delay is still there. I have a BenQ wireless keyboard that i bought 6 years ago from futureshop, is still working like new. I never had typing delay issue with it. My brother wants to use that keyboard with laptop, so i gave it to him and bought this one for myself….lol. I am thinking to sell it for $20.
So, in conclusion this MS keyboard 6k v3 is a piece of scrap. I think logitech would be a better choice for future keyboad.
